Cannabis Labels
Cannabis packaging can involve small containers and a lot of required information. The label needs enough room for the design without making important text difficult to read.

Packaging comes in a lot of shapes
Flower, pre-rolls, concentrates, edibles, tinctures, topicals and vape products each use different packaging, and most of it runs small. The label needs to fit the container and still leave room for everything that has to be on it.

Artwork considerations
Small containers, a lot of required information
Flower jars and pre-roll tubes are often small. Give required text its own space rather than shrinking it to fit around the design.
Variable information still needs a clean layout
If batch numbers, dates or other variable data are part of the label, plan a dedicated area for them so the rest of the design doesn't need to shift per run.
Leave room for a barcode or identifier
Keep a clear, uncluttered area for any required barcode or tracking identifier so it scans reliably.
A secondary label can carry overflow text
When one label can't fit everything legibly, a smaller secondary or supplemental label is often cleaner than cramming it all onto one piece.
Cannabis labeling requirements vary by product and jurisdiction. Customers are responsible for providing compliant label content and artwork.
